The BU Chemical Engineering Department congratulates the November 2018 Chemical Engineers' Licensure Exam passers

The BU Chemical Engineering Department congratulates its Alumni who passed the November 2018 Chemical Engineers' Licensure Examinations. The Board of Chemical Engineering announced on November 28, that 737 out of 1,043 examinees successfully passed the exam. This is the first time that the number of takers reached over 1000; with the National Passing Percentage reaching 70.66%, a record-breaking passing rate. Out of 45 takers from Bicol University, 30 successfully passed the exam, resulting in 66.67% overall passing rate and 76.47% passing rate among first timers.

BU Passing 66.67%; First Timers: 76.47%

National Passing Rate: 70.66%

The Department has now produced 298 chemical engineers out of its 454 Alumni, raising the success rate to 71.12%. Batch 2017 has now the highest passing percentage among all the batches (93.55%), followed by Batch 2016 (81.58%) and Batch 2012 (78.26%). The Department also has produced four (4) board placers in the past, the most recent is Engr. Joseph Cysty V. Ozaeta, 6th placer in the November 2017 ChE Licensure Exam. The highest feat of the Department is when Engr. Robert Cesar B. Morta placed 3rd in the November 2013 ChE Board Exam.
