Office of the ChE Extension, Consultancy, Linkages and External Affairs

This Office oversees the extension functions of the Department and its communications, linkages and collaborations outside of the Department. The Department Chair shall appoint its Head. The powers, duties and functions of this Office are:

 

1. Consolidate, review, compile and/or recommend all matters pertaining to extension and external affairs;

2. Scout for external linkages for possible collaboration and establish relations with them;

3. Communicate, prepare documents and proposals pertaining to external affairs;

4.  Conceptualize and organize possible consultancies, and any other external services that can be offered by the Department ;

5. Communicate and establish strong relations with Alumni;

6. Act as Liaison Officer to PTC, BOChE, PIChE, APEC, ASEAN Engineers and other engineering councils/organizations in which chemical engineers are members;

7. Facilitate membership of faculty members who qualify to APEC, ASEAN Engineers and other accreditation agencies for engineers

8. Coordinate with the OChEIR with possible external research linkages and collaboration;

9. Prepare necessary documents for Accreditation for Area VI (Extension and Community Involvement).
