Office of the ChE Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Student Affairs

​

This Office oversees the HSE matters and Student Affairs of the Department. The Department Chair shall appoint its Head. The powers, duties and functions of this Office are:

​

  1. Oversee the PIChE-JCV and any other recognized student organization of the Department, as Adviser;

  2. Oversee the Helion Flare, the Official Publication of the Department, as Technical Adviser;

  3. Conceptualize and implement HSE policies of the Department;

  4. Conceptualize and implement Waste Management Program and Protocol of the Department;

  5. Organize HSE orientation to Students, Faculty and Staff;

  6. Manage the solid waste, laboratory wastes and other wastes generated by the Department;

  7. If required, apply for the necessary permits in relation to waste management;

  8. Prepare necessary documents for Accreditation for Area IV (Support to Students) and help in Area VIII (Physical Plant and Facilities).
