The BU Chemical Engineering Department hereby announces the results of the Pre-Board Examinations for the Second Year Students given last December 12, 2019. The exam was administered for students to have a grasp of Licensure Examinations and to check whether they have acquired the necessary competencies required of a second year student finishing three (3) semester. The exam was given for six hours, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The coverage of the exam are Physical and Chemical Principles (30%), [which include General Chemistry, Chemistry for Engineers, Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry], Chemical Engineering (40%), [which include Introduction to Chemical Engineering, Transport Phenomena and processes, and Chemical Calculations] and General Engineering (30%), [which include basic engineering mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry and Solid Mensuration), and Differential and Integral Calculus, Engineering Data Analysis and Differential Equations].

The average of the PCP is 23,7% while that of the ChE and GE are 27.8% and 34.3%, respectively. Overall average of the class is 28.5%. GE has the highest standard deviation (9,8%) and the highest skewness (+0.36). The Top Scorers of each of the exam areas are:
The Pre-board Examinations has a point credit for each of the major subjects of Chemical Engineering. Congratulations to the Top Scorers!
